Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Service Provider must provide experienced track technicians to review and monitor identified areas of reduced track stability and observe indications of track movement that may lead to a track buckle. The service provider shall also, at the request of the company representative, provide equipment and personnel to assist in the remediation of track misalignments inclusive of transportation and rail safeworking protection (the Services). These services are required to be provided from March 4th 2019 and April 30th 2019.

1.1 Critical Rail Temperature Watch
The Service Provider must provide Services for the Site as requested by the Company Representative, including but not limited to:
(a) the provision of six experienced track technicians to review and monitor idenitified areas of reduced track stability
(b) the provision of six qualified and competent Rail Safeworking Officers qualified to at least M5 level of Safefworking on Rio Tinto Rail Network
(c) the provision of one supervisor to oversee the safe implementation of the works
(d) the provision of six vehicles for transportation to and from the sites as nominated by the Company Representative

1.2 Misalignment support 
The Service Provider must provide standby Equipment and Services for the Site as requested by the Company Representative, including but not limited to:
(a) the provision of one hi-rail excavator of at least 8 tonnes nominal capacity
(b) attachments suitable for the manipulation of rail
(c) a ballast broom that can be operated from the supplied excavator

The equipment and operator must be able to be deployed from Karratha within four hours of notification by the Company Representative to the required location on the Rio Tinto Rail Network.
