Tender Description
Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced waste management consultant to lead the transformation of how waste is minimised and managed throughout the Council.
Federation Council region is sparsely populated with five main towns Corowa, Mulwala, Urana, Howlong and Oaklands and a few small villages Rand, Rennie, Savernake, Daysdale, Morundah and Boree Creek spread over 5,600 sq km.
We have one licensed landfill almost at capacity and a few smaller unlicensed landfills all of which would not meet any best practice guidelines. Our kerb side collection is contracted out, and the waste is transported to Albury up to 100 km away.
The potential to significantly improve how our waste is managed needs to be achieved, and we seek the right consultant to guide us through the process.
