The investment is designed to inform growers of possible techniques to reduce surface and sub surface soil water with the intent of managing transient salinity and waterlogging within cropping areas. The gap in information towards management ideas for surface and subsurface water is best addressed through a participatory approach where growers can learn from peers, experts and industry representatives to achieve and plan water management options and improve profitability of these areas. Farmer demonstrations/ trials of different machines, in-season management and engineering solutions will be informed by local growers to capture the opportunity to view practical applications and demonstrations for in-paddock management.
