Roma Quarry - "Rock on Ground" Drill & Blast Service

⁠⁠⁠Council invites suitably qualified and experienced Contractors to submit a schedule of rates pricing and supporting documentation for the provision of a “Rock on Ground” drill and blast service at the Roma Quarry. This service is to include, but not limited to, management of the total drilling and blasting process, including conducting the design of the blast.

An estimated 30,000bcm of source rock is to be blasted to an average maximum rock size of 400mm. The estimated bench height of the shot face is approximately 12m and cleared of all overburden.

It is anticipated that the services will commence and be completed in February 2019. Due to time constraints on Council, suppliers must confirm their availability to undertake the work as a component of the response. The successful supplier would be expected to mobilise to site within seven (7) days of receiving notification of the acceptance of the supplier's response.
