Request for Proposal: Investigation of skin hardening and splitting disorders in sweetpotatoes
Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia's $9 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $100 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.
Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Investigation of skin hardening and splitting disorders in sweetpotatoes (PW18001).
The objectives of the services being sought are to assist Hort Innovation to:
* Investigate the links between nutrients, temperature, moisture and varieties with the skin hardening and splitting
* Collaborate with overseas counterparts to increase research outcomes
* Provide growers a better understanding on the best practice to reduce postharvest losses to skin splitting
* Provide recommendations for areas of future investment in preventing skin hardening and splitting.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
The closing date for responses is 5.00pm (AEDT), 18 February 2019.
