Tender Description
Sub-contract via Rio Tinto Iron Ore's major supplier.
Background:
* A number of residential properties in Hibiscus Way and Saltbush Court within Wickhamhave recently reported numerous bursts.
* There are a total of twenty four (24) properties.
* The existing water reticulation network is a ring main with blue line PE pipe installed.
* There is a single master meter at this location
* There are sub-meters at each property that are currently not installed to Watercorp standards. Theses are connected to the single master meter
* Whilst carrying out adhoc repairs, it was identified that there are many issues with the installation:
1. Non-compliant separationof services (namely, power and water)
2. Non-compliant back filling/bedding methods used (e.g. wooden braces left in place)
Scope of work
* Plan and liaise with relevant stakeholders disruptions related to utilities (power, water), roadways, driveways, etc.
* Obtain correct permit requirements
* Cable locating
* Carry out utility isolations
* Cut asphalt and concrete as required to facilitate installation of new ring main
* Install new ring main with Watercorp approved piping (DN63 HSCR RCD PE 100)
* Ring main must be installed with continuous sleeve (e.g. DN100 DWV conduit) as per Watercorp recommendations
* Backfill and resurface areas
* Make compliant to Watercorp Standards all sub-meters at each property, including (but not exclusive to): cutting back and removing of obstructing trees, plants or shrubs, raising meters, and/or installing new tails.
* Connect each property to new ring main
* Connect new ring main to master water meter
* Test and commission new ring main to AS 3500
* Clean up and dispose of any and all rubbish
* Supply plant and machinery to execute Scope of Work
* All work is to be carried out to Standards/Regulations including (but not exclusive to) RTIO, AS, and NCC.
Other:
* Site visit required for cable locating, at the cost of the Contractor.
