Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠PART A - Cyclone Feed Sump tank inspection and repair
This Scope of Works covers the requirements for inspection and repair of the cyclone feed sump (CFS), a cone bottom tank located next to the concentrator, during the March 2019 Low Grade shutdown. The scope of work will include general inspection of the CFS’s internal and external components and repairs of any damaged parts. Also, blasting and either painting or rubber lining may be required after repair of the CFS’s internal components, depending on location of repairs (rubber lining by RTIO). The scope requires provision and management of all resources to complete the work, such as blasting, painting, non-destructive testing, welding rope access and tank inspector in accordance with RTIO standards.

Works to be performed by the Contractor include, but is not limited by the following:
General Inspections/Repairs
* CFS visual inspection. Replace/fix reported missing/broken items.
* Sand blasting and painting of any repair work, paint touch up the location of any testing or NDT points.
Inner baffle box
* Visually inspect baffle box and replace known damaged and corroded sections.
Outer baffle
* Visually inspect the outer baffle and replace any damaged or corroded sections.
Outer shell
* Visually inspect the outer shell and repair or replace any damaged or corroded sections.
* Complete spot thickness testing and magnetic particle inspection to confirm integrity of components.
Bottom cone
* Visually inspect the bottom cone and repair or replace any damaged or corroded sections.
* Visual inspection of rubber lining, including removal of any damaged rubber lining and subsequent thickness testing
* Preparation of damaged or repaired areas for rubber lining, including blasting.

PART B - Clear water tank LG shutdown maintenance work
The scope of work covers the requirements for inspecting the clarified water tank’s (CW Tank) elements for damage and perform necessary maintenance during the March2019 Low Grade shutdown. Scope of work will include general inspection of the tank’s internal and external components and fix damaged parts. Tasks will include inspecting the welds in the tank mainly for the floor, floor to shell, between strakes, and tank nozzles/penetration. The scope requires provision and management of all resources to complete the work, such as blasting, painting, non-destructive testing, welding rope access and tank inspector in accordance with RTIO standards.

Works to be performed by the Contractor include, but is not limited by the following:
General Inspections/Repairs
* CW Tank visually inspection. Replace/fix reported missing/broken items.
* Sand blasting and painting of any repair work, paint touch up the location of any testing or NDT points.
Tank bottom and shell-to-bottom
* Visual inspection for the tank floor (bottom) and the floor plates welding Fix/replace.
* Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) inspection for the bottom plates welds.
* Thickness tests for the bottom plates. Identify and evaluate any tank bottom settlement.
* MPI weld inspection for Shell-to-bottom weld inside the tank and externally if applicable.
Tank Shell and Shell Penetrations
* Visual inspection for the tank shell and the shell strakes welding.
* Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) for all the Shell Plate to Shell Plate Welds in the lower 300mm section of the tank shell. Thickness tests for the shell lower strake.
* MPI weld inspection for all the tank penetrating pipes (nozzles). Thickness test for all the nozzles.

Location
