LG103-19 - Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) hereby invites quotations to engage a Consultant to prepare a Waste Strategy for the Gladstone Region that incorporates a detailed strategy for the development of a large-scale Waste to Energy (WtE) facility to be owned by Council as a social enterprise.
The Waste Strategy is to provide a framework for the implementation and prioritisation of waste infrastructure within the short (2-3 years), medium (3-5 years) and long term (10 years & beyond). The Strategy is to focus on the first five years, while having a view to 10 years and beyond.
The Waste to Energy Facility Strategy is to consider both anaerobic digestion and incineration and any other technologies available.
