Supply of Prescription Safety Glasses and Associated Services

⁠⁠⁠Rio Tinto is a leading global mining group that focuses on finding, mining and processing mineral resources.

The Company has a requirement for nationwide supply of suitable certified safety prescription eyewear (clear and tinted) for various operations and projects located in the west coast and east coast of Australia, to ensure the safety of its personnel.

The services include, as a minimum, the following:
* supply of suitable certified safety prescription eyewear (clear and tinted) in accordance with relevant AS/NZ and other Company or relevant standards;
* handling, packaging and marking of such safety prescription eyewear in accordance with the Company’s requirements and delivery of the safety prescription eyewear to the Company’s preferred freight provider, within the timeframes required by the Company; and
* access to a flexible ordering system, which allows for full order tracking, order history and order authorisation and which has the capacity to service employees at different times and in various locations.

Manufacturers must be licensed to manufacture prescription safety eyewear and hold a certification provided by a third party approved by the Company, e.g. SAI Global.

Provision of some associated services, such as eye testing and fitting of safety prescription eye wear may also be required (to be either performed by the Supplier or by a local retail agent of the Supplier approved by the Company).
