⁠⁠⁠South-West Pipeline – Expression of Interest

Projected bulk water demand from the Beaudesert Township is expected to exceed current capacity by approximately 2022 and increase significantly thereafter due to anticipated growth in the area. Seqwater is implementing its plans for new infrastructure (the Beaudesert Program of Works) to provide the future water supply to the Beaudesert and South Logan areas.

The first stage of Seqwater’s plan is the construction of new water tanks at Helen St, Beaudesert; construction of these works is about to commence. The second stage of Seqwater’s plan will be a pipeline (the “South-West Pipeline”) between Flagstone and Beaudesert which will connect the town to the South-East Queensland Water Grid. Works within the South-West Pipeline project are expected to include a 27km pipeline, balancing reservoirs, a transfer pump station, and chlorination (disinfection) systems. The pipeline includes several major watercourse crossings .

Seqwater intends to procure the services of a contractor to deliver the South-West Pipeline project through a Design and Construct contract via a competitive Early Contractor Involvement procurement process.

Seqwater intends to commence this procurement process by calling for Expressions of Interest at the end of January 2019.
