Atherton Hospital Redevelopment Project

⁠⁠⁠Businesses in the Cairns and Hinterland region are invited to attend an information session to learn about local opportunities for the Atherton Hospital Redevelopment project.

The project will construct a new Community, Allied, Mental Health Building; a new Clinical Services Building; new engineering services buildings; and undertake refurbishment of the existing Clinical Services Building. There will be elements of civil works including construction of a new helipad and roadworks.

Queensland Health is committed to supporting local businesses and contractors wherever possible and it's important that local contractors are aware of opportunities for work and how to pursue them.

The information session will be held at the conference room, first floor, Atherton Primary Health Centre, Louise Street Atherton at 11 am on 5 February 2019.

Representatives from the Department of State Development, the Atherton Hospital Redevelopment Project Team, (including Capital & Asset Services, Cairns & Hinterland Hospital Health Service, Capital Insight, Peddle Thorp, WSP) will be in attendance to assist local industry.

Tenders are planned to be called late March-2019 for a principal contractor on a lump sum contract. Construction is expected to be under way by mid-2019.
