Scope of work
To conduct the Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS) for works to provide an airport terminal facility at West Angeles that will facilitate full security screening and support passenger capacity requirements for the mine into the future.
A Prefeasibility study (PFS) firms up the business case, investigates the options that fulfil the business requirements & criteria, evaluates all significant risks and selects the option to proceed to Feasibility Study (FS). During the PFS stage any potential ‘showstoppers’ should be identified and resolved.
Key objectives of the PFS stage are:
* conduct project options assessment
* develops project option(s) costing to +/-30% accuracy [with input via early-contractor-involvement];
* select best option for carrying into FS
* evaluate and confirm the technical viability of the selected option;
* update project risks / opportunities register; and
* provides plan for FS to develop the select option as a comprehensive, implementable project scope/solution.
