Expression of Interest for Heritage Public Art Installation

⁠⁠⁠Maitland City Council is inviting artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the creation of a contemporary installation that reflects Maitland's industrious history and highlights the prosperity that came from employing innovative practices during the city's early days of development.

The installation forms part of the larger Poverty and Prosperity interpretation project, funded by Heritage NSW and managed by Maitland City Council. The project is centred around two public art installations in Central Maitland reflecting 'Poverty' and 'Prosperity' and is accompanied by an educational resource and an interactive walk.

This 'Prosperity' installation will temporarily transform a Central Maitland laneway and encourage people to physically explore their environment while deepening their understanding of Maitland's history.

EOI applications close 4.00pm, 1 February 2019.
