Tender Description
This Expressions of Interest (EOI) is the first stage of a two stage procurement process which aims to obtain an understanding of what interest there is within the market for the provision of a secure cloud based Data Acquisition (DA) service, to be developed and then operated by the service provider on behalf of the Crown, for the purposes of collecting logged data from metered rural water extraction sites across NSW.
The cloud based DA service will collect water extraction meter log data files from (up to 5,000 in the first 5 years and potentially over 15,000) remote sites and will make that data available to nominated government agencies including the Department of Industry Water Branch, the Natural Resources Access Regulator and WaterNSW.
The cloud based DA service delivered through this process will be: * scalable * reliable * documented * maintainable * future proofed – as far as practicable * cost effective * supportive of an open market * fit for purpose * secure and auditable.
