RE: 0047 – Longreach Jockey Club Track Resurface
You are hereby invited to submit a tender for the resurfacing of the dirt thoroughbred racetrack at the Longreach Jockey Club in Queensland
The scope of Works includes:
* levelling and refilling washout areas for the course proper surface, concentrated in sections around the 1400m mark, past the winning post and around the turn out of the home straight;
* the redistribution of existing track materials to provide an even surface, including the chutes located at the 1400m and 1000m points and the buildup of soil under the inside running rail;
* the excavation, screening and application of material from onsite borrow pits to the track surface to achieve the desired track surface depth (described in section 2 above) evenly across the course surface, with new material will be mixed with existing materials; and
* all maintenance works until handover of the track back to the Club.
