Supply of MSCL Pipe and Bends

⁠⁠⁠The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the supply of Mild Steel Cement-mortar Lined pipe and fittings.

Mount Isa Water Board (MIWB) is a water service provider, established in October 2000 as a Category 1 Water Authority under the Water Act 2000 (Water Act) to provide a reliable, quality supply of bulk water to the Mount Isa City Council and industrial customers, while operating on a commercial basis.

MIWB requires suitably qualified suppliers to provide Mild Steel Cement-mortar Lined pipe for construction in the 2019-20 financial year. The scope of supply will also require fabricated bends, weld collars, and pipe specials.

The key deliverables are:
* mild steel cement lined pipe
* fabricated bends
* weld collars
* delivery to and unloading of the pipe at the delivery address
* provision of packing sand bags
* protective end caps for safe storage of pipe

The supplier is required to deliver to the material to two separate laydown areas adjacent to the Lake Moondarra Booster Pump Station, located on Lake Moondarra Road, approximately 8km north-east of Mount Isa. The delivery of the pipe is open to reasonable changes in the supplier’s schedule, however, the estimated date for delivery is Monday 27 May 2019, so that the pipe can be installed beginning July 2019, and avoid extended exposure to the dry climate.
