Tender Description

Energy Queensland is calling for experienced organisations to Tender for the provision of its Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.

Scope of Services

Energy Queensland’s ‘Alcohol and Other Drugs Standard’ and associated program outlines the requirements for ensuring that drugs and alcohol do not affect health and safety in the workplace. The Alcohol and other Drugs Program includes:

1. Random testing;
2. Post incident testing;
3. Testing as a result of reasonable suspicion;
4. Return to work testing;
5. Fitness for work testing;
6. Voluntary self-testing; and
7. Education.

Energy Queensland Limited is calling for experienced organisations to Tender for the onsite (Energy Queensland premises) testing regime across all locations in Queensland.

It is Energy Queensland’s intention to have the nominated services provided by a single Contractor with the capability and capacity to deliver the services in a timely, efficient, effective and confidential manner. Energy Queensland currently has approximately 7300 employees spread across different locations throughout Queensland. Please refer to the document titled 'Contract 10542 - Scope of Work' within the Tender Pack for full details of the required services.

The Contract will commence on 1 July 2019 and the practical completion date for all work associated with this Contract will be 30 June 2022. Energy Queensland has allowed for one (1) Contract extension option of up to a two (2) year duration. In any case, Energy Queensland will at its sole discretion determine if the Contractor is to be offered an extension during the life of the Contract.
