Tender Description
The Contractor will be responsible for the delivery of a feasibility study into the installation of sidewall extension boards (also known as hungry boards) for the Rio Tinto pooled ore car fleet.
The feasibility study will include:
* proving selected technologies for attachment of hungry boards to the ore car fleet embedded in a production line concept for assembly;
* prototype installation of the selected hungry board shape on a set of ore cars in preparation for a loading trial at a volumetric flow TLO;
* detailed design of an ore car top-sill repair and a hungry boards retrofit facility at their preferred location in the RT network;
* installation of a prototype protection frame and execution of a loading trial at Brockman2 mine site, Tom Price Fines TLO, Paraburdoo TLO and Mesa J TLO issue for tender drawings for recommended modification options resulting from pre-feasibility stage for all fixed plant or rail infrastructure items.
Feasibility costings and schedules for delivery +/-10% accuracy are required for all items included under this scope during and at the end of the feasibility. Progress of the study work is to be reported on a weekly basis using a standard template. The summary of the study work is to be reported in a full feasibility study report due with the last 10% of full invoice payment.
