Kanpi, Murputja and Nyapari Water Supply Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠Kanpi, Murputja and Nyapari Water Supply UpgradeCW8920.

The proposed upgrade of the community water supplies will provide the following
benefits to our customers:

• Provide drinking water that meets the ADWG’s guidelines and encourage the consumption of water
• Provide security of supply
• Significantly improve reticulation pressure
• Increase the life of hot water services in dwellings by improving water quality
• reducing the maintenance costs for the Department of Housing

The contractor will be required to:
Stage 1 (2018/19 FY)

• Construct a new water storage compound at Murputja including three new overhead storage tanks and two ground level tanks
• Install Principal supplied RO Plant at Murputja Storage Compound
• Construct gravity drain and evaporation lagoon
• Fit out and install UV hut and re-lift pumping station at Murputja storage compound
• Fencing and paving at Murputja storage compound
• Construct approximately 4800m of new water mains from Murputja to Nyapari
• Equip and connect bore 4945/45 at Nyapari and 500m of rising main

Stage 2 (2019/20 FY)

• Equip and connect bore 4945-17 at Nyapari
• Remove existing water storage tank
• Fit out and install the new UV hut for Nyapari
• Construct 7900mof new water to Kanpi and connect to Murputja
• Fit out and install the new UV hut for Kanpi and remove overhead tank
• Equip Bore 4945-21 and 4945-14 at Kanpi
• Remove old tank at Murputja
• Install dual reticulation at Murputja
• Install dual reticulation at Nyapari
• Install dual reticulation at Kanpi

Stage 3 (2020-21 FY)

• Construct 4000m bore rising main to Bore 4945-44
• Equip Solar Bores 4945-43 and -44
