Provision of Retail Gas - Large Sites

⁠⁠⁠Southern Sydney Region of Councils (SSROC), wish to appoint a contractor to supply goods and/or services to the Participating Councils in accordance with the Contract in Tender Document 5. On behalf of the Participating Councils, SSROC invites you to submit a Tender for this role.

The goods and/or services involved include the Provision of retail Gas – Large Sites and are set out in detail .

The Conditions of Tender set out the details of how you may submit your Tender. You must complete the returnable schedules in Tender Document 6 and submit them.

Participating Councils have a total gas consumption of approximately 65TJ per annum made up primarily of over 110 small market sites and 5 large market sites. Recent gas market price action suggests that there has been a decline in wholesale pricing and that retail contract pricing should reflect this price movement.

Pricing for gas and electricity in early 2017 showed significant cost increases over the current council contract rates. In anticipation of these likely increases over the next contracting period, SSROC are exploring strategies for reducing energy cost for councils and has initiated the PEERS project (Program for Energy and Environmental Risk Solutions). One element of PEERS is this RFT.

SSROC Member Councils are participating in this Request for Tender (Participating Councils). These are:

Please note that individual councils will be counter parties for supply agreements, not SSROC.
