The Department of Education and Training is seeking to implement a Logical Data Warehouse design, drawing on existing siloed data sources (mostly SQL Server Databases and Datamarts) and assembling integrated views of this data for consumption by analytics and visualisation tools.

The Government has approved the National Education Evidence Base (NEEB) Program to enable better evidence‐based policy advice. This procurement is for an end-to-end data integration platform solution (supply, implementation and support) to support the achievement of the objectives of the NEEB program.

The Department is seeking an end-to-end solution provided through a single prime vendor to ensure the vendor remains the single point of accountability for the platform. Therefore, the Department proposes to engage a vendor who is capable of supplying, implementing and supporting the platform, or has the necessary strategic partnerships to meet this requirement.

The procurement of the data integration platform is technology agnostic but must be able to operate within the existing ICT infrastructure.

It should be noted that this procurement is not for data storage as NEEB will leverage existing data storage assets.

The Department is seeking to achieve the following timeframes for delivery:
* Mid-Late January 2019 - Contracts (if any) in place
* Mid February 2019 – Solution Design delivered.
* Late March 2019 – Solution available in test environments.
* Late May 2019 – Solution available in Production environment.
* June 2021 – Commence transition to internal support arrangements.

The Department has multiple, siloed data sources and no means to efficiently and effectively interrogate all of these data sources. The Department is then unable to make effective, evidence based policy decisions.
