IME (Neurologists) Supplementary

⁠⁠⁠Offers are invited from Neurologists for a position on WorkCover's IME (Independent Medical Examination) panel.

An IME is an evaluation performed by a Supplier who is not involved in the patient’s care/treatment for the purpose of establishing the cause, extent and medical treatment of an injury. Suppliers are trained in specific areas of clinical knowledge and can have an important part to play in clarifying medical aspects about a work-related injury. WorkCover Queensland (WorkCover) conduct tenders every 3-5 years to appoint a panel of specialists to provide Independent Medical Examinations. The current IME panel of specialists were appointed in July 2018 and the current term will expire in June 2021.

Various specialists were appointed across a number of speciality areas, however it has been identified that more Neurologists are needed to support our demand for referrals. As per clause 1.2.8 of the original tender, WorkCover is exercising our intention to adjust the panel size via a supplementary tender. Offers are invited for Neurologists only, provided they meet all other minimum mandatory requirements. The requirement to be Queensland-based has been removed, and WorkCover invite offers from all states of Australia.

Suppliers must agree to comply with WorkCover’s Service Level Standards (SLS) throughout the term of the arrangement (if appointed). A copy of WorkCover’s Service Level Standards are attached.
