Provision of Laboratory Gas Cylinders and Bulk Cryogenic Liquid

⁠⁠⁠The Environment Protection Science (EPS) Branch of the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) seeks to procure laboratory gases cylinders, bulk cryogenic liquid, and associated services for use in its Environmental Forensics laboratory in Lidcombe, NSW. The agency uses compressed pure gases and cryogenic liquids for analysis of environmental samples. The expenditure for the compressed gases and cryogenic liquids is estimated to be $ 60,000 annually.

The bulk cryogenic liquids to be procured are liquid nitrogen and argon. The successful Tenderer will be required to ensure that the cryogenic vessels containing liquid nitrogen and liquid argon always contain an adequate amount of these materials so as not to interrupt supply within the Lidcombe site laboratories. Provision of other laboratory gas cylinders including helium, nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, ammonia, air and argon also form part of this procurement.

The respondent may have the ability to supply more than one grade or size of gas cylinders that meets the technical requirements in Section 6. Where this occurs, the respondent should list pricing and specifications for alternatives separately within the same tender response. The respondent’s price shall include the cost of delivery and pick up of empties. The evaluation panel will assess which option is more suitable in terms of budget, serviceability and comprehensibility for the end user.
