Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠We require a supplier to: a) consolidate the designs and backends/CMS of our websites; b) ensure content can be shared between sites; c)improve the appearance, usability, mobile responsiveness, on page SEO, performance and accessibility of these websites; and d) provide ongoing 3rd party hosting, website security and operational support.

The Harbour Trust requires a supplier to:
a) consolidate the designs and backends/CMS of its two major websites (Harbourtrust.gov.au, cockatooisland.gov.au)*;
b) ensure content can be seamlessly shared between these websites;
c) improve the appearance, usability, mobile responsiveness, on page SEO, performance and accessibility of these websites; and
d) provide ongoing 3rd Party Hosting, website security and operational support (including site upgrades) following the completion of the website refresh project.

*Regarding the consolidation of the designs and backends/CMS of our major websites, we have been recommended Wordpress Multisite (See ‘Additional Information’). However, we are open to alternative solutions that offer features and functions equivalent to (or better than) Wordpress Multisite.

The Harbour Trust does not have in-house design and development resources for this undertaking. As such, the successful applicant will be required to meet project deliverables that include:
* A new content management system (currently, it is Drupal)
* New information architecture for web content
* New content plan
* SEO targeted content
* Web design style guides
* Design wireframes and mock-ups
* Page templates covering all key streams (visit, stay, leasing, events, corporate governance)
* Migration plan
* Integration of required technologies (event ticketing system, accommodation search and booking platform, video, social media, etc)
* Plan for SEO optimisation
* Population of new templates with new content
* Staff CMS training materials or/and workshops.

Crucial: In meeting these deliverables, the successful applicant will be required to meet (dot)gov(dot)au website standards (incl. branding guidelines and digital service standards), the Department’s IT security requirements and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
