Medical & Counselling Centre Refurb (Stage 2)

⁠⁠⁠UC requires the services of a suitably qualified Head Works Contractor for the refurbishment/fitout of the Medical and Counselling Centre (Stage 2). The centre currently attends to over 50,000 patients each year and it is likely the numbers will double from the anticipated growth of students and the wider community.

Stage 1 of the Refurbishment has been completed and saw an increase to the operating capacity of the centre, while providing a level of flexibility between counsellor and doctor's rooms. The refurbishment also helped to overcome some of the shortcomings of the previous layout by providing additional waiting room space, improving DDA access and lunch room facilities.

Stage 2 of the refurbishment will provide a new reception, additional and refurbished medical and counselling suites, back office, waiting room, procedure room and treatment room. The new layout will support improved functionality across the centre, increase waiting space capacity, and address accessibility and code compliance issues.

Note - A Destructive Hazardous Materials Investigation of the Stage 2 area of the Medical & Counselling Centre is currently being undertaken and will be issued as a Tender Addendum early in November 2018.
