Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The scope includes all activities associated with the work described above and includes, but is not limited to:
* Familiarisation with location of proposed works hydrants, valves, pipelines and critical customers in areas.
* Site Establishment which includes accommodation for the duration and living expenses;
* Pre-planning of work in consultation with the Principal's representatives;
* Some area`s contain several Commercial / Industrial premises, this may require the Provider to work out of hours with approval of the Principal or Principals representative.
* Some areas of works related to this tender are affected by PRV`S (Pressure Reduction Valves). Area’s that have PRV’s require special planning so the PRV does not fail due to sediment getting caught inside of them.
* Some areas of works related to this tender are affected by Pressure Zones, may require additional planning.
* Communication with Principal and Householders (Including leaflet delivery);
* Cleaning soil and waste buildup in hydrant/valve boxes and disposal of this waste;
* Cleaning of hydrant and refurbishment of all line marking for the hydrant as per Council standard drawing (Note this includes thermoplastic line-marking);
* Cleaning of Valve and refurbishment of all line marking for the valve as per Council standard drawing (Note this includes thermoplastic line-marking);
* Isolate sections of water main under the direction of the Principal's representatives;
* Cleaning of Water Mains using air scouring equipment including cleaning of each individual hydrant's internal throats during the scouring;
* Filtering of dirty water expelled from the mains. (no Water discharged directly to stormwater without control)
* After completion of main scouring, install standpipe with macrometer and test individual hydrants for flow and pressure under a range of operating conditions;
* Recording flow/pressure results and hydrant fault / defects in a handheld device. Device charge must be maintained (handheld and charger provided by Council).
* Provision of handheld data download with Council's representative on a weekly basis;
* Provision of Inspection and test reports together with measurements for cleaned watermains (Section 6 )
* Provision of valve report showing valve direction of rotation, condition rating, faults or maintenance problems for each valve.
* Provision of amended hardcopy plans of water network where errors or omissions are found in the field;
* Provide an average colour assessment of area`s discharge during scouring. (rated on a 1-5 rating, 1 being the clearest colour);
* Maintaining service to householders;
* Restoration of work-sites;
* Liaise with customers on complaints or questions as the first point of contact.

The successful Bidder shall be sufficient experienced in the operation of a water reticulation network including the safe use of standpipes, macrometers, valve keys so as to not cause undue leaks or faults of reticulation assets.
