Tender Description
Design and construct a relining to 4 existing multiplate arch culverts (known as Bridge 06A) on the deepdale line near Western Creek. Note some existing arches are significantly deformed and require a reduced diameter arch in place. Refer to model below for concept idea.
Scope of Works
The contractor will be required to design and construct package of work for the strengthening upgrade of Bridge 06A on the MLDD (Main Line Deepdale) rail network to conform to a 40tonne axle load capacity. The scope includes but is not limited to:
* Detailed design of the new culvert shell;
* Minor vegetation/scrub clearing;
* Supply and delivery of new multi-plate arches and other required materials; and
* Site cleanup upon completion.
Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) expects that the contractor has experience in performing a majority of the following services in house by their own personnel:
(a) Installation of large diameter multiplate culverts
(b) Grout pumping
(c) Minor vegetation/scrub clearing
(d) Rail safety awareness
