Signalling Support Services - Supply of Spares and Repair of Signalling Equipment

⁠⁠⁠The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is the primary operator of public transport services in Western Australia.  The PTA has a number of diverse signalling and associated systems for the safe regulation of the rail traffic on PTA's rail network. These systems are critical to the safe operation of the railway network and have been in operation for varying lengths of time. The maintenance of these systems is pivotal to the levels of service, safety and reliability provided by PTA.

Signalling equipment is critical to the safe and timely operation and running of PTA train services and will be required to operate in accordance with the manufacturers specifications upon installation onto the network. It must also operate reliably within the constraints of the signalling system and comply with relevant PTA specifications.

The PTA undertakes the First Line Maintenance activities for the PTA Network. The extent of the work outlined in the Scope of Work and Specification primarily deals with Signal Support Services, namely:
a. Supply and delivery of signalling equipment and/or components; and
b. Repairs of signalling equipment and related services.

The PTA’s preference is to engage a single contractor capable of providing the both the supply and repair elements of the Scope of Works. However, PTA reserves the right to separate the requirements amongst multiple contractors if required.
