Tender Description
Strathfield Council invites tenders from one eligible contractor for the service of, the disposal of municipal putrescible waste generated by Council's Domestic Waste Collection Service (red lid bin) for a contract period of five (5) years with an extension option of two (2) years.
The Contractor shall recover reusable items where feasible, and reprocess or treat the remainder to recover materials which can be recycled into the productive economy or used for energy recovery. Materials which cannot be reused, recycled or used for energy production, in that order, shall be disposed of in an appropriately licenced landfill.
This tender is only for the drop-off / tipping related services. Council already manages the collection component in relation to its Domestic Waste Collection Service which is not part of this tender.
