The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for submissions for new facilities at Kedron State High School located at Park Road, Kedron, QLD, 4030. These works are part of the 6FC program which will provide 6 additional learning spaces plus the proposed conversion of existing kitchens in Block A (rooms 13 and 14) into GLA’s.

The project will increase the school’s Built Capacity from 1926 to 2077 and Student Enrolment Capacity from 1584 to 1708. The Additional Accommodation Project at the Kedron State High School will involve the following works:

Construction of a new two storey Learning Centre (Block S) adjacent to the existing Block R. The new building includes the following spaces;
* Three GLA's,
* One FLA,
* Resource Store,
* Collab Spaces,
* Junior Kitchen and food store,
* Senior Kitchen with Scullery, Food Store and Cold Store,
* Staff Room, HOD Resources Store and Kitchenette,
* PWD, Cleaners, Laundry,
* Data Room and Resources Room.

The proposed new two storey Learning Centre partially encroaches onto one of the school’s existing double tennis courts. Separable Portion 1 of works will include the partial demolition of the existing double tennis courts (roughly half the court) and make good including reinstating fencing. Separable Portion 2 includes the new two storey learning Block and Separable potion 3 includes the conversion of Rooms 13 and 14 in Block A into2 new GLA’s and a store rooms.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors with a minimum PQC rating Level 3.

SITE VISIT DETAILS: A mandatory site visit will be held on Thursday, 4th October 2018 at 9.30am at Kedron State High School,34 Park Rd, Wooloowin, QLD, 4030. Tenderer to contact the Project manager by Thursday, 4th October 2018 to confrim their intention to attand the site visit.
