Management of the Mission Beach Aquatic Facility

⁠⁠⁠COL000001 - Cassowary Coast Regional Council (the "Council") invites tenders under Chapter 6 of the Local Government Regulation 2012 for the management of the Mission Beach Aquatic Centre (the "Centre") for a period of 18 months commencing 1 November 2018 (subject to change), with a possible option to renew the Management Agreement for an additional 1 year.

The Centre which was jointly funded by the Australian Government (National Stronger Regions Fund), the Queensland Government (Building our Regions Program) and Council comprises a 6 lane, 25 metre lap pool, a billabong / leisure pool and an indoor, heated hydrotherapy pool as well as a café/kiosk.

This Centre is a key piece of community infrastructure and is anticipated to attract significant numbers of Patrons throughout the year.

The successful Tenderer will conduct the management of the Centre on a ‘fee-for-service’ basis on the final terms of the Management Agreement entered into between Council and the successful Tenderer. Council will take on all financial risks of the facility with the manager responsible for managing the operational aspects of the facility. The terms and conditions of the Management Agreement will be substantially in the form of the Management Agreement set out in Section D.
