Moranbah Raw Water Storage Dam Remediation Works

⁠⁠⁠IRCT2053-0918-128 - Isaac Regional Council (IRC) have recently assessed the condition of Moranbah 400meg raw water storage dam and determined that preventative maintenance works are required on the outer south eastern dam wall face to provide long term durability to the existing dam.

The location of the dam is approximately 750m to the southwest of the IRC Water Treatment Plant off Goonyella Rd in Moranbah.

IRC identified that the outer wall of the dam had suffered various degrees of scouring due to weathering and remedial action is required to rectify this damage. The works will also include the flattening of the existing batter slope by placement of additional fill to provide a consistent 1:3 batter slope for improvement of long term maintenance.
