Provision of Legal Services

⁠⁠⁠Cairns Regional Council is inviting submissions from suitably qualified and experienced law firms, legal service providers and practicing solicitors (Firms) to establish a Register of Prequalified Suppliers (ROPS). The services to be provided under this arrangement are separated in the following broad categories (in no particular order) as below:

* Planning and environment law
* Property and real estate law
* Building construction, major projects and infrastructure law
* General contract and commercial law
* Communications, technology and media law
* General litigation, dispute resolution and debt recovery
* Employment, industrial relations and safety laws
* Consumer and competition law
* Regulatory, enforcement and general prosecutions
* Governance and administration law
* Native title, cultural heritage and indigenous law
* Water and Waste infrastructure and specific matters
* Other areas of law relevant to Local Government

Enquiries: Tender enquiries, questions or clarifications should be directed via the online forum. Cairns Regional Council officers are unable to respond to verbal enquiries in relation to the tender. The forum will close three days prior to the closing time and date. Please ensure that all questions, information requests and clarifications are posted prior to this time.

Lodgement of Submissions: Completed responses must be lodged by uploading the submission to Tenderlink, using the response forms within the tender documentation.

We strongly recommend that you begin uploading your tender submission files at least two (2) hours BEFORE the tender closing time.

Closing Time and Date: The tender closes at 4:30 PM, Wednesday 3 October 2018. Submissions must be fully received by this time. Late, verbal or emailed tenders will not be accepted.

Submissions will not be opened publicly. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Council reserve the right to change the specifications prior to making a decision on the submissions received in response to this invitation.Council may invite all Respondents to change their submission to take into account any change in thetenderspecifications.

Tenders are to remain valid for a period of 90 days from the Closing Time.
