Cairns Regional Council is inviting tenders for the design & construction of a water main from Dickson Road to Jackson Street, Mirriwinni.

The existing asbestos cement water main along Howard Kennedy Drive and the Bruce Highway between Babinda and Miriwinni was constructed in the 1970s. Due to its aged condition, the water main is susceptible to failure and has been identified by Council as being in need of replacement.

The section to be replaced is approximately 6km long and is to be replaced with DN150 oPVC.
