Tender Description
7.81.157 - Alexandrina Council, Surf Life Saving SA and Goolwa Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) have commenced works on the exciting transformation of the Goolwa Beach precinct, in the form of the new Goolwa SLSC facility.
In order to deliver the Goolwa Beach SLSC facility, significant changes are required within the Goolwa Beach environs. The Goolwa SLSC building works commenced in August 2018 and will continue during a construction phase approaching 9-12 months.
The project will require the construction of a new Council owned and operated wastewater Pump Station to be located within the Goolwa Beach carpark. The new wastewater pump station will service the new Surf Life Saving Club facility, the new public toilet facility that will be included within the Club and into the future, a new Café facility which may replace the existing kiosk / café.
Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec has undertaken all necessary design and specification works required to now seek contractors to perform the onsite works.
The Council requires that the wastewater pump station (& all ancillaries) is constructed, commissioned and operable prior to 30th March 2019.
Importantly, the Council wishes to highlight that the Goolwa Beach – Wastewater Pump Station Construction works will occur within a popular public car parking space that is subject to high levels of summer beach visitation (approx. mid December to end January).
The Council will make available to the successful contactor a dedicated portion of the Goolwa Beach Car Park for a site compound, in addition to the pump station construction footprint. Access to remaining portions of the Goolwa Beach Carpark will remain open during these works.
