This RFT is for the design and construction of a replacement bridge on the Kerang-Leitchville Road, Macorna North, Victoria (also known as Sampson’s Bridge).
The existing bridge is a two lane concrete bridge of u-slab design, built in 1967 over the Pyramid Creek. It is located on a busy transport route linking the eastern and western sides of the municipality. The creek is a natural waterway managed by Goulburn Murray Water as part of its rural water supply network.
The project is to replace the current 2-lane concrete bridge with a new 2-lane structure in the same location, to the latest design loading SM1600 and relevant Australian and Vic Roads Standards. Design life of the structure is to be 100 years.
