RFP - Supply of a New Staff Intranet
Tender ID: 363227
Tender Details
Tender Description
The current Silver Chain Group intranet, built in SharePoint 2010, is no longer serving the needs of employees and is out-of-date. The organisation has grown substantially since the Intranet was first developed. Originally operating in only Western Australia, Silver Chain expanded into Queensland in 2010.
This was followed by the merger of Royal District Nursing Services (RDNS) in South Australia in 2011, and expansion into New South Wales in 2012. The intranet has struggled to keep up with this rapid expansion and little focused attention over many years has meant it is not relied upon by staff as their central source of knowledge or communications. Of particular concern is that the majority of staff work remotely and are unable to access the Intranet at all from their company-provided mobile phones.
Its poor state is contributing to lost productivity, gaps in employee knowledge, the spread of misinformation, exposure to unnecessary business risks, weaker employee connection to the brand and a less engaged workforce.
In-depth interviews conducted with leaders and staff between September and November 2017, brought to light many of the specific issues and provided guidance on the information and activities staff would like to be able to access and manage via the Intranet. This feedback has been used to form part of the requirements for this RFP.
