Water Supply Lagoon Cover Replacement
The Torres Strait Regional Authority, the Queensland and Australian Governments are funding the design and construction of water storage lagoon covers on the islands Saibai, Erub, Mer, and Ugar. The project works include, but are not limited to:
* Design, construction, and installation of water storage lagoon covers;
* Inspection of existing anchors and replacement of bracket at Mer Island.
* Replacement of pumps;
* HDPE liner condition assessment;
* Removal of accumulated sediment in the Erub Lagoon (if ordered);
* Replacement of electrical switchboard (if ordered): and
* Disposal of existing covers, pumps, electrical equipment, vegetation, and sediment.
Tenders are sought from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for a single design and construction contract.

* Capacity to Carry out the Work
* Contract Price
* Methodology and Program
* Local Employment and Training Opportunities
The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 applies to the building work associated with this project. By submitting a tender for this project, tenderers will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.
