Sunshine Coast Council invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from interested parties to purchase land known as Nambour Depot, Nambour - National Park Road, Nambour.
The Sunshine Coast local government authority is located in south-east Queensland, is just over one hour by road, north of the state capital of Brisbane and covers an area of approximately 2,291 square kilometres with 52.3 kilometres of open coastline.
EOI Objectives
Sale of the land to an entity who will develop the site with the following objectives and outcomes:
* Considers the best use of the land to meet the varied needs of the current and future community, and provides positive economic, social and environmental outcomes; while aligning with Council’s vision for the Sunshine Coast: to be Australia’s most sustainable region – healthy, smart, creative.
* Considers the Sunshine Coast Regional Economic Development Strategy 2013-2033 outcomes;
* Ensures that the site provides for the highest level of job creation into the future; and
* The eventual land use is generally consistent with its public policy for land use as contained in its Planning Scheme.
It is intended that a preferred purchaser will have been identified and proceeded to contract by the end of the calendar year. Council wish to offer the property with a short term leaseback until July 2020 approximately.
Site Background
The site is currently being utilised by the Sunshine Coast Council as a Depot. The site is one of the few large non-residential sites in Nambour, with excellent highway access and largely flood free. It is capable of supporting a large floor plate use.
The site encompasses three individual Lots:
* Lot 1 RP 194352,
* Lot 2 RP 212394 and
* Lot 12 RP 94474
with a total area of 5.507ha.
