The new Allied Health Building is proposed to be a two-storey education facility constructed on a green field site at the front of the campus (adjacent Hogbin Drive). The building will be located on the Coffs Harbour Education Campus and has a GFA of circa 1800m2. This campus located at 363 Hogbin Drive, Coffs Harbour.
The Allied Health Building will accommodate multiple health-related courses, some of which will be new to the University and to the region. The building will house course offerings such as Nursing, Psychological Science, Sports Science, post-graduate para medicine, Occupational Therapy and Indigenous Health.
These new courses will provide the Coffs Harbour community and its surrounding regions with a more diversified range of educational opportunities and career paths than what are currently available within the region. It is anticipated that this facility and its proposed course offerings will attract circa 300 students to the campus and to Coffs Harbour per annum. It will also serve to further establish Southern Cross University's reputation as a leader in Health Education, ultimately attracting more young people to remain or relocate to Coffs Harbour, thereby building on the region's current and future economic growth.
