The Blood Service is seeking Requests for Proposals (RFP) from commercial suppliers for the supply and maintenance of handheld tube sealers within Australia. Handheld tube sealers are used across the Donor Services and Manufacturing Divisions of the Blood Service to enable the maintenance of a sterile blood component after the separation of a blood pack or in the creation of crossmatch segments. This platform is required to be portable to enable improved utility by Blood Service staff s and be suitable for use with blood collection and processing packs that are compliant with the international standard Plastics collapsible containers for human blood and blood components (ISO-3826). The Blood Service is regulated by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
