Proposals are sought for the provision of Transforming the governance arrangements for the catchments and waterways of South East Queensland:- Options Analysis for a collaborative statutory authority.
Council of Mayors (SEQ), the Department of Natural Resources Mines and Energy, the Department of Environment and Science, the Queensland Reconstruction Authority and Seqwater (Joint Parties) invite consultancy bids to develop an options paper on the establishment of a collaborative statutory governance authority for the South East Queensland (SEQ) region’s catchments and waterways to drive the Resilient Rivers Initiative. The Joint Parties are represented on the Resilient Rivers Taskforce, a joint local and state government mayoral, ministerial and executive level group that is currently overseeing the Resilient Rivers Initiative. Council of Mayors (SEQ) will administer the project on behalf of the Joint Parties.
This project will require
a) Demonstrated superior skills and extensive experience in generating transformational change in public sector organisations, involving organisational design and analysis based on legislative and non-legislative frameworks.
b) Superior skills to rapidly understand and critically analyse complex legislative instruments and non-statutory frameworks, and proven ability to link to organisational design in public sector organisations.
c) Demonstrated experience in working with public sector organisations at high senior executive and political levels.
