Leasing of Retail Areas at Newman Airport

⁠⁠⁠Newman Airport is owned and operated by the Shire of East Pilbara (the Principal) and serves as a vital link between the community of Newman and surrounding communities to Perth.

The airport is located some 11km south of the town of Newman. As a resource town airport passenger numbers fluctuate. Current passenger numbers can be seen in Part 6.4.9 of this RFP.

Newman Airport currently does not have a provider of food & beverages or other retail services operating from the terminal. As a result the Shire is making available a number of locations to the market for potential sites (separately or together) for the provision of these services. The Principal is eager to receive proposals that will incorporate support for local industry, the community and tourism.

The Shire currently operates a vending machine that could form part of the Lease Agreement negotiations.

There is a Non-mandatory site inspection on Monday, 23rd May, 2018 at 10:00am. The location of this meeting is Shire Airport Administration Office, Newman Airport, Great Northern Highway, Newman. Attendance at this meeting is NOT mandatory.
