Roma Natural Gas Supply Agreement

⁠⁠⁠18042 - Maranoa Regional Council is inviting suitable suppliers to submit a tender for the supply of natural gas for circulation within Council’s distribution network.

The Roma Natural Gas distribution system (owned and operated by Council) is comprised of approximately 30 km of gas mains and serves a mixture of residential, commercial and industrial consumers. There are currently over 567 active connections (as at 11 April 2018), with average usage of 58 Gigajoules (GJ) per day (ranging from 12 GJ/day to 133 GJ/day seasonally).

The successful Tenderer will be required to enter into a supply agreement with Council, guaranteeing the continuity of gas supply for the term of the agreement.

In their response, Tenderers are required to provide:
* A unit rate (inclusive of GST) for each Gigajoule of gas supplied under the arrangement;
* A proposed agreement period (it is Council’s preference that the Agreement will remain in effect for a minimum of 3 years);
* Pro forma contract / agreement – it is anticipated that this document will form the basis of the subsequent supply agreement / contract;
* Other supporting documentation as required by Part 4 - Tender Response.
