Ballina Byron Gateway Airport owned and operated by Ballina Shire Council will be undergoing a major redevelopment and expansion of the terminal facilities. Construction works are expected to commence mid-2018 and be completed mid-2019.

The project includes retail tenancy for news, convenience items and gifts in the new departures lounge. A lease term of 5 + 5 years is being offered. The tenancy areas will be approximately 125m2 with a further 20m2 of external storage outside the terminal building.
