Tender Description
Council is seeking Tenders for the hire of plant and trucks on an as required basis for a 24 month period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2020.
Tenders are sought for the hire of the following items:
* Plant for construction and maintenance purposes
* Trucks and Truck and Trailer combinations
* Floats for transporting Plant to and from sites
* Water trucks for construction and maintenance purposes
Selection of plant and trucks will be undertaken in accordance with criteria including, but not limited to, the ability and suitability of the plant to perform a given task, past performance of the equipment and operator, the net hire cost to Council, equipment reliability and availability.
The contract is a 2 year contract with a 1 plus 1 year option. At the conclusion of the first year contractors will be able to submit revised offers which will be assessed and ranked for inclusion on the panel of contractors for the following year.
In order to qualify, it is essential that the appropriate statutory, insurance, quality, safety and environmental requirements are satisfied.
Council's Policy advises the canvassing of Councillors and/or Council Staff will disqualify any Tenderer.
