Expression of Interest for General Practices to participate in the Black Dog Institute Mental Health Screening and Treatment Pilot Program.
Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN (the PHN) is seeking interest from 10 General Practices in the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region, to implement an innovative mental health pilot program designed to support low to moderate intensity mental illness.
The PHN is working in partnership with the Black Dog Institute to offer the service in 10 General Practices in the area. The program uses digital health technology to screen patients in the waiting room and offer real time evidence base treatment options and recommendations to the patient and the GP. This is a free online service that will be easily integrated into the general practice workflow and clinical software.
The aim of this project is to deliver better screening and treatment to patients and follows a stepped care approach.
To be eligible for this program, General Practices must be located within the Sunshine Coast and Gympie Area.
Purposed term: The PHN is looking to recruit and train interested and eligible General Practices by June 2018 and launch the pilot in July 2018. The initial program will run until March 2019.
