Tender - Snug to Margate Shared Path

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited for civil construction works to construct a shared path, for both pedestrians and cyclists, between the townships of Snug and Margate in the Kingborough Municipality of Tasmania. The path will be approximately 4.5km long, nominally 3m wide and largely utilise existing side roads and tracks to the eastern side of the Channel Highway.

The project will entail a broad range of civil construction tasks including:
* Reconstruction and resurfacing of sections of existing asphalt roads,
* Installation of w-beam barrier fencing and cycle-safe fencing,
* Red gravel path and asphalt path construction with associated driveway upgrade works and line-marking and signage, and
* Culvert and table drain works.

Given the works proximity to the native flora and fauna and local water courses environmental controls will play a part in this contract.

Kingborough Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced companies for the works as described above.

Closing Time: 2.00 pm Thursday 10th May 2018.

A non-mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held on Monday 30th May at 2:00pm at Cawthorn Lane, Snug, Tasmania. Additional information is provided in the tender documents.
