Tender Description
The Company is requesting Expressions of Interest for a Work Package relating to blasting studies for development of orepasses associated with loading of the trains.
The proposed orepass system will be employed to transfer material from upper mine levels and will consist of up to 10 orepasses feeding train loading chutes, which will be installed during the expansion of the underground rail materials handling system. The material is then transferred to the surface via the existing train unloading station to the Clark shaft crusher, hoist and overland stages of the Clark system.
Investigations are required to optimise the design and construction of the finger raises which transfer ore from the grizzlies to the orepasses, as these are a significant wear point with the potential for damaging the orepass and reducing operating life.
Additionally development blasting is expected to be required in close proximity to installed structural concrete and the effect of blast vibrations on the integrity of structural concrete needs to be understood so appropriate construction strategies can be developed.
