Expressions of Interest (EOI) Sought for Art Installations

⁠⁠⁠Liverpool City Council is excited to present Eat Your Heart Out Liverpool 2018 and is our biggest annual CBD event.

The event will be held on:
Saturday 25 August from 2pm - 9pm at Railway Street and Railway Serviceway, Liverpool.

Our program this year aims to return a high quality community and cultural event to South West Sydney with free outdoor performances, games, food trucks and public art installations.

Council is seeking EOIs for temporary outdoor installation art pieces to be installed at the event site/s of Railway Street and Railway Serviceway.

As part of the brief, artworks:
* Can be large, medium or small scale
* Can be participatory, performative and/or immersive
* Must be site-specific - consider the entire site and its buildings, elements, etc
* Must demonstrate artistic excellence
* Collaborations are welcome

When developing an artwork proposal, the main site restriction to consider is the fact that much of the event site is a road, which will only be closed on the day of the event. This may constrain installation/bump-in time.

Refer to the event site map in this document for an understanding of the space. Council encourages artists to explore the space via street view images and site visits prior to submitting an EOI. Site visits with the event producer are scheduled for the following date:
* Friday 27 April, 1 - 2pm - meet in front of Liverpool Public School, cnr Bigge and Railway Streets
* Thursday 10 May, 11am - 12pm - meet in front of Liverpool Public School, cnr Bigge and Railway Streets

Submissions are due by Friday 18th May 2018 at 5pm.
